@Poncaboy28 Ok Mr Poncaboy, I, Dawn Brown Eyes, am a champian dancer, won all over Bismark ND, Gathering of Nations.... From the East to West and North to South, including Oklahoma, I was our Nation's Princess and designed outfits you name it. And not once did I make fun of another person's dancing style or their outfit. . Not once. And you and others come on our channel and make fun of my son. The Ponca's I know are very respectful and good to visitors. You should be ashamed of yourself.

@pushthelimit True, there always has been an argument over who really discovered them. Personally I'm in favour of the viking Leif Erikson (who called them "Skralingers" - "Screamers"). But let's just be happy that they've been found - in my country they've been making cowboy and indian movies for decades. Should check out Winnetou, chief of the Apaches. How, Fenriz218 has spoken ... :)

@fenriz218 There is a funny story in (Eirik Raudes saga) The first meeting with the indians was not good.My forefathers did kill em all in a fierce battle the very first sight they did see them.haha.And it was a nordic woman there to...And she did pick up a sword and bang it on her chest. And the skrælings(indians)Ran in fear of her..Becouse of magic ore wtf...I dont know..They where afraid of her.My forefathers did leave that place after a while.I think thats great. Not their home.

@SeigSel a nordic cousin. My folks prefered the mountains to the sea and then went to Rome for some fun (and that was the end of Rome). Lucky for the Indians that Leif didn't stay there for too long, otherwise they would have been in real trouble, haha.
Heil Wotan, Heil Donar!

@fenriz218 .«Det var svarte og stygge karer, og stygt hår hadde de på hodet; de hadde store øyne og breie ansikter.» They where black(darkskin) butt ugly men(wimen). and ugly hair they had on their head.Big eyes and wide faces. My Viking forefathers did not care if they where eskimo ore indians.Same shitt haha. They where weak in their eyes.Remember..Im from pure native viking blood. And my people have lived with nature since the beginning of time.
In questioning any native dance, I was told it is the heartbeating that leads the feet......there is no strict rule as to 2 beats for each foot. It varies per Dancer and dance. It is an indivicualistic as a prayer. Am I being told wrong? I've never counted any dancers steps in traditional native dance. I would like to know without disrespecting. The dance I watched here is quite moving, beautiful and very soul touching. Thank you for sharing this.

@dareva I was a champion dancer for many years and I never did the 2 beats per foot. I was lead by the music and my most of my style came from my dreams. There are hundreds of tribes and we are all different. Youtube: Terry Fiddler OR George Crickett Shields OR Gracie Her Many Horses All are champion dancers and have different styles. You can watch and count ;-) without being disrespectful.

The make-up looks kinda cool, reminds me a lot of KISS (just be careful: Gene Simmons has the copyright and is very quick to sue) ... however, when Columbus discovered those people, he didn't mention anything about make-up, so I doubt the historical accuracy.

@fenriz218 Columbus didn't discover my ancestors; he stole from them, murdered and enslaved them. My ancestors painted their faces and he is not trying to be historically accurate, his look is from his dream. We are from the Bad Face band of the Oglala and we have and will paint our faces.
