@joshanator1 This was a 2.4x version. I am trying to make this tutorial in a 2.5x version, but my recording software keeps crashing while rendering it :S I'll keep trying though!

That's the problem with most of these tuts, they skip over most the stuff they already know, forgetting that

you don't!

@alaricofarabia as Acarnists says, you first press S to scale, then either X, Y or Z to scale along that axis. :)
