*sigh*. I'll say this again. The CARDS are called HANAFUDA. The CARDS are from Japan. The GO-STOP is a GAME. This GAME was made by Koreans during Japanese occupation.
If you're American, I'll explain this very clearly.
CARDS that have Aces, Kings, Queens etc are from Britain. But the GAME called Texas Hold'em is American game.

Ignorance? You're playing Go-stop. There's nothing wrong. Lot of people are getting it mixed up between Hanafuda and Go-stop. The cards are called Hanafuda and they're from Japan but the game called Go-Stop was made by Koreans which USES Hanafuda. This is same as Playing Cards deriving from England but Texas Hold'em is made by Americans that USES playing cards from England. Just because cards are invented by Japan doesn't mean all games involving their cards are Japanese.

Mishtahtaki, i think you should do your research before you start calling someone numbnuts. TRUE, it is a japanese CARDS ... but the game isn't from Japan. As Eddy4, said the game is from korea && even in the info box on the side he wrote "It's a Korean card game, played with Japanese cards called, Hanafuda."
-
is this originally a japanese game or korean?
Pardon my ignorance. In the five years of living in Korea I never thought to ask if it came from someplace else. My friends never bothered to let me know, nor in my travels to Japan did I ever see those cards. I'll be happy to change the name of the video.
