Zakir Naik's misleading explanation of controversial Quranic Verse

Yet again, Zakir Naik provides a misleading explanation:

The Quran's Surah Al Tawbah Chapter 9, Verse 6 states that the non-muslim who has surrendered to muslim forces ought to be "escorted to a place of security so that he (the non-muslim) may hear the word of allah". Naik portrays this as a gesture of magnanimity.

HOWEVER, the TRUE IMPLICATION of the verse is that according to Islam, the ONLY SECURE place for a non-muslim is the place where he (the non-muslim) has no choice but to hear the word of allah.
In other words, if the non-muslim chooses not to hear the words of allah, he (the non-muslim) has no security.

It is so sad that because of a few misinterpreters an entire religion and those following it are tagged as extreme elements.

God is for the righteous. He doesn't differentiate if you are a Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist etc.

I don't know why people claim that God is only for a particular religion and you have to get converted to be blessed by him.. Nonsense !!

true, god does not differentiate but people's concept of God differentiates. for exampel Hindus believe in numerous God but Budhist dont believe in the almighty at all.

Verse 9:6 said "If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge." What a stupid explanation you gave for this verse! The verse is basically saying this men are without knowledge so give them the opportunity so that they may have the chance to hear the word of Allah. It does not mean let them go if they only want to hear the word of Allah.
