  • actually the ggfg uses it for alot of drill presentations

  • I thought going home was a funeral tune, AKA the New World Symphony by Dvorak? Since when is it a March??

  • @theosaulx2 Green Hills of Tyrol AKA Scottish Soldier

  • Fortissimo this year is going to be amazing as well. The CSM is coming up with some amazing stuff.

  • I was on CG 2008 this was my best song gave me shivers everytime i listened to it good job drill team.. im on my pre-deployement for Afghanistan right now and hopefuly when i come back ill have a chance to get on CG before a transfer Air Forces keep up the good work

  • Actually, you are almost correct... there were pipers from the North Irish Territorial Army Band. Pretty fantastic time.

Music: Drill tune = Going Home March off = Green Hills of Tyrol

And to alvin... we wear clickers on our boots. You can't really hear it when 3 full bands are playing with about 30 pipes.

  • Yeah silent drill tend to do that to people. I was just surprised that if the Irish Regiment pipers were actually there they weren't wearing CG pipers uniform...as if they were special guests or something. By the way why didn't guys have hob nails underneath your ankle boots? Would sound way better that way. Heel and toe tabs alone just don't sound crisp enough when marching.

  • good luck to him

i found out the march off song its: Green Hills Of Tyrol
