The purpose of this video is to demonstrate the difference between hard wood and soft wood. In this example I'll be using Jatoba and Pine. You can tell the difference between these two in several ways.

- Knock on it using your fingernail or something else. The hard wood sounds more like glass.
- Lower it into water. The hard wood should go straight to the bottom.
- Drill a stainless steel screw into it without pre-drilling. The screw will most likely break when put into the hard wood.
- Try setting it on fire. The hard wood will ignite at a higher temperature.
