Sazeimo Perkhuli
(as taught by As taught by Carl Linich of Trio Kavkasia, who first learned it in The Kartuli Ensemble from a transcription made by Georgian ethnomusicologist Joseph Jordania)

Perkhuli is an ancient Georgian song and dance form traditionally sung by men. This festive round dance from the northwestern mountains of Georgia features a text consisting entirely of nonsense words such as "worera", "voisa-rera", "dila-wadila", etc.

Leslie is performing dance steps learned from a group of young dancers we met in Dmanisi, Georgia.
