Lost Odyssey Battle Theme = Ukrainian national anthem?

Back in March I was watching the Klitschko/Gomez fight on TV. Before the fight starts, they play the national anthems of the fighters' homelands. So with Vitali Klitschko coming from the Ukraine I heard the Ukrainian national anthem for the first time. But I noticed that it sounds familiar to me and after a while of thinking I knew what it reminds me of... The battle theme of Lost Odyssey!
What a coincidence... or maybe not? Anyways, apparently I am the only one who noticed that, at least I haven't found anything like that yet...

this would explain the cyrillic russian writing alphabet charaters in the towns of the game (gohtza,and saman i think)

Hardly similar, sure theres a few notes that go in the right direction, but it's not nearly the same.

nobuo sounds more bad ass. there are more melodies and more diversity in his battle theme. its funny how that one lead part went from being a national anthem to a battle theme; quite the opposite direction.
