Holy crap.. A Gp10!!

The funky cars on the end have power rollers that are used to move the rail off the train. They can also be used to feed scrap rail back onto the train.

Oooops! Well you can't always have what you want. Anyways, I cannot wait until the summer when track maintenance season kicks up.

Cool how the rails must bend while in transit. The power involved is rather awesome. The cars at the rear appear poised to lay rails at final site. Cool video!

GP10, no way! They are pratically extinct. COOL horn!
O yes, welded rail trains are my favorite, primarily because of their full legnth load and rarity. -But, what is with the men on the train and the funky cars at the end?
WOW! You saw it all in one day didn't you?

Sad part of it all was, right after I ran out of film I called it a day and walked down to my car. And wouldn't you know (about 10 minutes later)that a grinder train passed by grinding one of the curve rails! If I recall (been 12 long years) that train had 6 grinder cars. Man Oh Man, wish you could of saw all the sparks flying on video!
