I too have seen this movie so many times in just a few months. I cant seem to get enough of it and wish I had been in that airforce crew aswell. But the most important thing about the movie that I appreciate is, that it is a true story. How sad that so many people who have never seen it will never know that all took place in that time. And I feel such a great loss of all those inocent good people who loast their lives to all this. Thanks for posting this great tune I cant find anywhere else.

@doronpainter From what I've heard the movie is a bit like Das Boot - all the interesting and dramatic things that happened on several different missions to different crews, all composited into one story.

No idea; I don't own the soundtrack on a hard disc yet. Not sure if that would even be included in the soundtrack, since it was technically recorded on the set, not in a studio.

@TonoFonseca hey i want this song with the vocals do you know where i can find it...The part where the whole crew sings..

You don't get the joke. The Germans have composed many great pieces like this...

@TonoFonseca Noo, it's just the Germans... ;-)

When you see a thumb-down on a video like this, you know that Satan has a YouTube account.
I've seen this movie so many times!!!
During the war, my parents saw these
B17's by the hundreds in the sky over their little Dutch village on their way to Germany and it gave them hope!
A Fortress nearly cashed on my parents farm on it's way back from Germany; all
were lost except for one of the pilots; he made it back States side in the end.
To all the Flyboys and their crews: Thank's to you guys I grew up in a free country!

I met Captain Robert Morgan, the real Belle's pilot at an Airshow in 1996 about a year before he passed away. One of the things he talked about was that the 1989 move was much more true then the 1943 film made for war bond drives here, The Belle's 24th Mission was shown in the 43 film because it was a German Target, thier real 25th was to the coast of France and a "Milk Run" target with escorts from the Royal Air Force. He was proud of his service and of his crew's skill in the air. R.I.P.
