You should have bled the fish by cutting its gills.
-
you can do the same job using a hammer
-
WOW thats gooooood eating right there
-
Just some advice:
1.) Use the sharpest knife you can get.
2.) Start on the fish by cutting off the fins.
3.) Place the fish on its side and lift the front fin. Remove the head by cutting at an angle against the gill plate, but behind the front fin.
4.) Open the body by cutting down the belly from the anal vent.
5.) Remove organs.
6.) Starting from the front, cut directly against the spine of the fish down the length on each side, leaving the spine and tail.
7.) Remove bones.
8.) Two fillets yum!

i agree if your gonna catch a nice hog at least learn to fillet it. Too many people up here in AK cant fillet for shit and its a shame. But to each is own i guess. It just breaks my heart to see good fish go to waste. not so much this one but ive seen worst!!!
