Lazarus is a Chihuahua that we rescued from St. Martinville Animal Control on October 15, 2011. He talks and says "Mama" repeatedly to get our attention. He also says "I want my Mama!"
Lazarus was named this because he was attacked by a larger dog, and the dog punctured his throat with his teeth. Lazarus actually flat-lined and died because of the attack, but they were able to bring him back. Lazarus is being fostered by Acadiana Humane Society volunteer Pinky. Once he puts enough weight on, and recovers his health, he will be neutered and then be adopted by a pre-approved applicant who had us looking for a Chihuahua for her.
