A former First Minister of Northern Ireland, Lord Paisley is a religious man. He undertook theological training and founded the Protestant Telegraph as a vehicle for his views. He was the co-founder and leader of the Democratic Unionist Party for more than thirty years. In 2008, he received the 'Oldie of The Year' Award for his contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process, and in 2010 was ennobled as Baron Bannsideof North Antrim in the County of Antrim.

Ian Paisley is probably the greatest leader both religiously and politically the United Kingdom has seen in modern times. Being one of the longest serving MP's in the house of Commons and in British history, now in the House of Lords, and former First Minister of Northern Ireland Ian Paisley held his rightful, Christian, Democratic and Peaceful view and opinion through the darkest days of the Troubles risking his own life many times for his belief and its great he has now seen it fulfilled !!
