The most famous of Maestro Lauro's waltzes (commonly known as Vals Criollo). It was written in 1938-40 in Ecuador. Originally, Lauro dedicated it to his former guitar teacher Raúl Borges. Natalia is the name of Lauro's only daughter.

  • Hola Amigo

  • i think the original song is from alirio diaz, but your interpretation is good, but the sound it doesnt it

  • After almost 7 decades, "Natalia" still being not only Maestro Lauro's most popular guitar work but also impacting the universal guitar world. Even it is an easy fingering piece, its perfect harmonic structure requires a carefully study. For me as a Venezuelan guitarrist, the most key thing is here are the non written syncopated rhythm passages.

  • hey sir can u please tell me how long it took you to actually play this song fluently and how long in general u played the guitar thx :]

  • I only took 3 weeks to me but that was more than 20 years ago. You can dedicate between 1 to 12hr/day but practice is part of the key. Remember also consistency, good memory, listen and listen .... and listen.

  • You can play or PLAY. The key is to play clear, in right tempo, rytmically, also do dynamics. You cant have good enough legato after 7 months etc.

  • Nice guitar technique... but the sound sucks

  • This interpretation is actually VERY good, people who judge this video by sound quality are ridiculous!

  • @mariachi2005 Hi, just wondering if you could direct me to the tab with this arrangement. The one I have isn't very good. Thanks.

  • bad audio

  • Where can I find the tab arrangement you use for this? The one I have is not very good - wrong fingerings, etc. I learned this as a young man but have since forgotten it and I don't read well enough to relearn it. Thanks so much.
