I really hope Herman Cain wins the election cause what America needs is another strong black leader. Someone who will right the injustices of past White Presidents, and give Black Americans their due. We will have our freedoms, in The United States of African-Americans!!!

@jdadams195000 because that is not what is being proposed. Remember you are already paying a payroll tax of 15.3% Think outside the box this plan is far more simple than liberals and conservatives would have you believe.

@curingaging00 I have done the math and I can gaurantee there is absolutely no way this will increase your taxes. Everyone will see a decrease in taxes with one exeption. Those who work under the table and avoid paying any taxes will now have to help support this country right along with you and i. Please dont get caught up in the propaganda. Go read the bill its very easy to read. Look at the numbers there are 3rd party studies out there that are not biased to cain. Dont look at this as a tack

@curingaging00 every product that you currently buy is subject to 5 different taxes on every level it is purchased. Therefore you are already paying a ton in taxes by the time the product gets to you. These are hidden taxes that the consumers do not even realize exists. Under this plan every single bit of those taxes will disappear because once again you are completely getting away from the current tax code and there will be a very visible one time tax on consumption. i run a buisness and

@curingaging00 So once again I said do the math for your situation. You are forgetting the most important part of this bill. The current tax code will go away. Every working american even if u pay $0 in federal taxes pays the 15.3% payroll tax this will automatically drop to 9% because it is all included in the personal tax. So EVERYONE gets a tax cut right there. Now Keep in mind the sales tax is not merely another sales tax tacked onto the top of what you are currently paying every product

@jdadams195000 allow me to ask your an important question; how much of your 35 grand a year is in federal taxes? the 9 9 9 plan will not abolish state and local taxes.

There are different types of income taxes, local, state and fed,
those making 20-50k a year don't pay much federal taxes, less then 9% income taxes, so yes their taxes would go up, but they might still have to put up with state and local income (varies by state), Cain is proposing a 9% income tax. You obviously can't abolish state and local taxes without violating states rights. And stacking additional taxes on top of state and local taxes for the middle and lower classes would harm them more.

@jdadams195000 your are forgetting something.
Not everyone makes 100k a year, i was talking about those who make 20-50k a year, have a family, they pay very little federal taxes. And the 9% FEDERAL sales tax, something you also should not forget. Right now in CA we pay a 9.25% sales tax, if you add 9% it becomes 18.25%. abolishing state taxes in favor of federal taxes would be in violation of state rights. Im not giving up state taxes to impower the FED
this plan just isn't going to work.

@curingaging00 as well as the other hidden taxes companies are charged prior to you buying products. Instead of being taxed on production the country both citizens and companies would be taxed on consumption. If you want to stick $10k in the bank rather than spending it you would not be taxed on it until you decided to spend it(aside from the original 9%) Stop listening to others and do the math. It also helps alleviate the entire tax burden on those of us that choose to work for a living.
