God the AI players didn't want you to win at all on Yoshi's Island. They hit you with pretty much every normal special besides star power. The end of Rainbow Road they wanted to mess up your time so blue shell and the lightning bolt did that.

How much difference is there between the train and Toad's blue kart? It seems like Toad's has better acceleration after getting hit, but the train is a bit better for mini-turbos and presents a more narrow profile for dodging things. Btw, great videos, especially this all-cup run and the anti-blue shell tutorial.

i got a 29'42" the other day with a 1'29" lap on rainbow. it was ridiculous. coulda had like a 29'17. your rainbow and donkey mountain are legit
