yea - use to luv usa cartoon express-when the took off a lot of hanna barbera cartoon i used to write them and convinced them in the early ninteies to put stuff like this back on- they mostly were airing the smurfs back then-and finally they came out with cartoon network- i dont remember ever see jana on this- i use to love cartoon network but now the only pit on the cartoon s that are mosrt popular and everone has seen like popeye-tom and jerry -jetsons-
i luv you jana i use to fantasize about u as a kid. i still luv you, u are my dream girl. who ever did the voice for jana, i wanna eat ur butt all night long. u are the coolest chick ever. cool neckless- cool cat-ghost- cool everything- please come out on dvd so i can fantasize some more-love u forever and always-michael buttram
@MichaelGaribaldi NOT hard to believe. Cassidy did LOADS of voices for Hanna- Barbera, mostly villains. But He was also Frankenstien Jr(RRRIGHT, BUZZ!!), & the Size-changing guy in Galaxy Trio. I loved him as Lurch...the hilarious deep-throated reactions to the hair-brained ideas the Addams Family came up with were priceless!
I always thought it was funny how animated action heroines back in the 70s had to have a male guardian who did most of the actual fighting, only for the girl to swing in at the very last second!
@LB74 No, Jana was not in Superfriends (I made that mistake too). We were thinking of Rima, another jungle queen. She paired up with Wonder Woman to rescue some explorers who'd been arrested by a tribe for mistakenly desecrating sacred relics.
Mind you, I would have liked to see Jana in Superfriends. Maybe she could have teamed up with Apache Chief or Batman and Robin.
This was a good cartoon for its time. I really liked the whole "Lets save the planet" theme.

@Velocity9s This show must have been one of his last roles, Jana of the Jungle aired in 1978, and he passed away the following year.
