It's time to see this clip again. Living in L.A. now but I'm going to have to do a drive by someday soon. If I remember this is the highest point in Milledgeville and this also was the Capitol building of the state of Georgia at one time.

Thanks for posting this. I really have fond memories of my times at GMC. It was tough being a bording cadet verses a day cadet. The barracks were stinking hot and we had to walk like 2 miles to do our wash. But those were character building days..... so what went wrong with me?

I lived in the Barrecks on the left to. From 85-86. Man were those some fucked up days at GMC. We used to smoke mad pot at this place. And we used to go down to the old Mill on the river and jump off into the water. Climbed all over that thing. I remember faking playing the drums to get into band just to get out of drill. Old State Capital building was cool.

Not to mention when you were saying you wanted a picture of you, I started saying I wanted one of me, and I went all squeaky when I said "I want a picture of MEE!" xDD

Glad you enjoyed! Yes, as of this tour, the bull dog statue was still there. The guy doing our tour told us the story of it getting "decorated" with paint. Very funny! We haven't been back since the tour but I am guessing nothing has changed.

amystery85, Thank you for posting this video. I was there living in those barracks on the left as you enter the grounds back in 1973-1974. This brings back memories. Never went back but what is shown looks the very much the same.
