house of lords IS the best band because of the vocals, harmonies, the edge they run between heavy and melodic metal. the lyrics they use are also awesome. another thing Dave Bickler had a MUCH greater range than Jimi. and so does James Christian.Jimi was the whole package, in that he had looks, voice and presence. Vocally, however... Dave takes them both.

I don't know anything about this rock band. YOU'VE proudly stated that this is "a great band" so could you take the time to tell me how & why they are the best? That's a pretty bold & powerful statement to make on behalf of this band~Is it their hooks & melodies that make them the best? Is it their stage show that makes them the best? Is it their memorable song lyrics & harmonies that make them the best? I'd appreciate if it you could enlighten me on how you feel HOL is the best?

While it's true that James Christian did want to & actually did audition for Survivor's lead vocalist opening, it was decided by Frankie Sullivan that James' vocals were too gritty & he didn't have enough melodic range to fulfull the already recorded songs that Jimi Jamison sang. Jimi stated that he loved singing ballads & Frankie wasn't convinced that James could actually perform them as graceful and smoothly as Jimi did. Jimi did take Survivor to a higher level than Dave Bickler did for sure!
