could you tell me the model of your intel core 2 duo, i know its an LGA 775 socket but whats the clock speed? and also what is the make of your graphics card? Xfx? gigabyte? etc etc..
the only thing i can think of as to why it runs slow is probably your graphics card but it should be able to run it fine :S

yeah, you will be able to play it on maxed out settings, what ram do you have specificly? and the only possible upgrade i would suggest would be the graphics card
