Beleive it or not, my dad was the basketball coach for east toledo junior igh. Nate Miles played for them. He was a good player and we were super excited when we saw he got into Ucoon on a scholarship. Then, he got a restraining order from some girl, and then we saw a warrant for his arrest. Then UConn dropped him. Then he played at some small college in Utah and never made it big. He definentaly had a chance to make a career out of basketball. but he thought jail was better.

oh well....1 out of 5. Kemba's been advertised, Miles made a stupid phone call, Majok got screwed by the NCAA, Haralson hasn't shown much, Okwandu can't make grades.
I guess we'll try again with Majok and Okwandu next year.

Nate Miles story is a sad one, but not uncommon. Many young players with talent slip through the cracks and are shown a lot of attention then dropped like a hot coal if signs of trouble appear. I hope he turns out alright.
