I believe it was the 1986 amendment that did this. Before this anyone could own select fire. All privately owned machine guns were grandfathered in and after this no one could buy newly manufactured machine guns and thus the old ones cost tens of thousands of dollars to buy.

Any news on the .40 or 9mm versions they were supposed to produce years ago?

I owned a Kriss Carbine, and found it to be unreliable, even with recommended ammo.

I know the ones at shot are probably well worn or factory tuned, but did you catch what kind of ammo they were feeding?
