You try and fight outnumbering Zulus 10 to 1 charging at you, there are no excuses thank you my friend, either except the fact or blind your self to it.

With repeating rinfle against spears they would be in disadvantage evem outnumbering in 10 to 1. The steel and smokeless repeating rinfle represented a huge revolution in handguns wich forced the armies to replace uniforms. In boers war Britsh had great problems against Boers equiped with those rinfles, a result of this was ther Britain retired the traditional readcoat uniform used for centuries.

repeating rifle? it was a breech loading rifle Martini Henry..

The Mauser rfiles the Boers used were German & were more effective than the Lee Metford rifle...

Yes, the new rinfle generation at this time were charged in breach and could shot about 5 bulles before being reloaded. Much more faster to reload than old muskets charged by muzle wich dispared only one tme

Th Britsh in readcoat uniform were sen for kilometer and turned in easy target so the unifrme was retired Before this generation of rinfle the muskets shots used t make apear great clounds of smoke in battlefields thus the uniformes were very collorful to avoid friendly fire in those clound

?????? The Rifle used in the Anglo Zulu war for the British was one shot reload, plus they had the riffles supplied from the dead and smuggled as well, once again the only factor there is Eliteness of the British soldiers.

No a thousand British soldiers vs 20 thousand Zulus is a massive disadvantage for the British Remember..... a range of about 30 yards single shot reload????, Its is eliteness that comes into that factor.
