I love my ex. so far the only downside is no v8. I keep up with my buddies who have lifts. We might have the same gear ratios not sure. I know my trans is from a newer one with a shift kit.

Question. I have an 88 Ranger XLT, when I shift it into four-wheel high it doesn't feel like the front wheels are pulling however I can drop it into four-wheel low and they spin perfectly. What could be the problem? Should I shift into second to use high or do I need to be moving or what??? Someone please help!

@puredrummer93 if either one of the high or low range 4x4 work it work for both ways. unless you have a electronic 4x4. mine is a lever on the floor. if you have the lever on the floor the bushing might be worn out on the bottom of the shifter ( under the cab bolted to the transmission if my memory is right)

it may just be my straight pipes, but that sounds nothing at all like my 2.9 ranger... and that cant be a stock lift... those tires are bigger than mine and i got a 3" body lift... but then agian, ur tire look crammed in there, lol....
