flattery will get you... everywhere... William Alan Shatner (born March 22, 1931) is a Canadian double Emmy-, Golden Globe-, and Saturn Award-winning actor. He gained worldwide fame for playing Captain James Tiberius Kirk, captain of the starship USS Enterprise, in the television series Star Trek from 1966 to 1969, the animated series and in seven of the subsequent movies. He has written a series of books chronicling his experiences playing James T. Kirk and being a part of Star Trek as well as several co-written novels set in the Star Trek universe.
Shatner also played the title role as veteran police sergeant T.J. Hooker, from 1982 to 1986. He has since worked as a musician, bestselling author, producer, director, and celebrity pitchman, most recently as the "Negotiator" for the Priceline.com travel website. He currently co-stars as attorney Denny Crane on the television drama Boston Legal, for which he has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.
A court is a forum used by a power base to adjudicate disputes and dispense civil, labour, administrative and criminal justice under its laws. In common law and civil law states, courts are the central means for dispute resolution, and it is generally understood that all persons have an ability to bring their claims before a court. Similarly, those accused of a crime have the right to present their defense before a court.
Court facilities range from a simple farmhouse for a village court in a rural community to huge buildings housing dozens of courtrooms in large cities.
A court is a kind of deliberative assembly with special powers, called its jurisdiction, to decide certain kinds of judicial questions or petitions put to it. It will typically consist of one or more presiding officers, parties and their attorneys, bailiffs, reporters, and perhaps a jury.
The term "court" is often used to refer to the president of the court, also known as the "judge" or the "bench", or the panel of such officials. For example, in the United States, and other common law jurisdictions, the term "court" (in the case of U.S. federal courts) by law is used to describe the judge himself or herself

  • Absolutely genius. If one scrolls down so that one cannot see the video, and just listens to the voice, one could swear its actually Shatner.

Being a big Shatner and Caliendo fan, this is probably my favourite impression of all time :D :D

  • After watching this sketch many times, I find myself asking the same question. Who is she?

  • The defendant looks a lot like Big Pussy from The Sopranos.

  • "And determine for whom the Shatner tolls" lol

  • without a shadow of a doubt, fantastic...

TJ Hooker counts as the Law, it counts as...

  • Frank Caliendo does a better Shatner than Shatner!!! LMFAO

  • Judge shatner da da da da di di di da da da

  • @dhom100 I know right. :)

  • who's that asian girl? she's hot.

  • It is funny - just not "ha-ha" funny. It's hard to base an entire show on just impersonations no matter how good they are. But Frank Caliendo is still one of the best comics around.
