  • Urhhh, ground combat looks shit, you should not have to shoot someone continuously, when out numbering them for a length of time to get them down.

In space, tatics own, on the ground, shoot, duck, cover and kill... i hope its not gonna turn into stand there and shoot our bee bee guns at all the demi gods

  • I agree, in theory. But practically, the year is 2409. You have to think, giving the political climate with the Klingon Empire, the Federation has employed new technology.

  • its amazing tons of ppl play it. gj cryptic

  • this game looks like a smoldering piece of shit, where is the duck and cover tactic you see in the Star Trek shows. I never saw a guy take 15 phaser shots to bring down like wtf. Another lazy MMO Mass heal garbage and lame ass remove buff shit.

Im sorry, they could have done a way better job.

  • hmmm I might take that all back though...if you have personal shields, which is most likely since technology has developed, then shooting several times would definitely make since. However, the health would have to be extremely low for only a couple shots kill. Maybe a maximum setting for a phaser to vaporize someone in a single shot after shields dissipated.

  • The animations are semi-okay. Its actually pretty good for what they got, but really I believe it should be a more duck-and-cover gameplay style. Like it should be maybe a couple phase strikes and their dead. Unless ofcourse, your fighting the borg with adaption to phaser settings.

In the Star Trek Series, you see alot of ducking cover action so it would make sense to develop that here as well. But its an alright setup. For an alpha test ofcourse.

  • @rich1701

lol yer gonna love the graphics on that one

  • That says it all really, It's always a bad sign when developers cut corners, especially using an 8 year old engine. No wonder they have failed to push boundaries. It just seems to be no more than an arcade space shooter with the Star Trek name attached to it. That is why this is not going to be a great game and it will need to be great to survive against Star Wars TOR which has impressed me.

  • sorry... "nanites"

  • Last time you saw anything trek related it was like 20-30 years in the post (according to the story line).

Also, as I recal, I remember the federation (Voyager) using nanobots to create a weapon to kill 8472.

Tons of stuff was derived from reverse engineering borg technology.
