@Catti808, @captjack21 and @uglyfaces234 I found on the IMDb message boards, thanks to poster smeth, an interview from Silvo Horta that stated due to a time constrict they had to cut the episode, but it was filmed and here is what happens...

...Betty opens the gift to find a Shakespeare anthology. Inside there's an inscription: "Looks like you share a birthday with another great writer… Happy Birthday, Betty. Love, Daniel."
