@InsideJokesloll It was nice to see other parents of the girls(her teammates) stand up for her. I am not sure how much weight that has but if collegiate programs here already allow transgender young adult play sports in their desired sex, then why not let this happen in a tweens (pre-teen) program? Besides just look at her compared to the other players, she is so petite.

Even now he's spinning in a circle, drooling, and singing the same two lines of a song over and over, which makes me smile but others turn away in disgust. His teachers, my sister, our cousins, no one understands. the world is a cruel, unjust place.

When he was reading the e-mail, I almost started crying myself because I can relate, though not in the exact same way. My little brother is mildly autistic, not where you can tell right away but if you spend half an hour with him you know something's not right. It breaks my heart when I see all the neighbors shun him for my younger brother, to see them give him dirty looks because he's different. To know that even his very best friends take advantage of his disability by ordering him around.
