Every year, the face of Las Vegas, the world's gambling capital, changes: for two months, the cult of poker takes over all the city's casinos. For a few short weeks, these thousands of poker-addicts indulge their passion together.

Their quest is simple: to win one of the 10 World Poker Champion bracelets up for grabs in the various forms of the game -- 7-card, 5-card, Texas Hold'em, Omaha, etc -- fulfill their dreams, and perhaps become a multi-millionaire in the process... by winning the ultimate: the title of World Champion of Texas Hold'em and the $10 million jackpot that goes with it.

Through four totally different characters, we will glimpse what poker adds to their lives, the gaps it fills, the anxiety and possible tragedy that it creates, and the joy and financial rewards that it brings.

The backdrop to this story will be the city where anything goes -- Vegas!

Before and after the tournament, we will also follow our characters in their daily lives. Will they have won, lost everything, lived out a fantasy, abandoned their last illusions or simply satisfied a passing fancy?
