I went to my local oriental store hoping to find exotic fruits but no luck! All I got from there was Lemongrass and Shallots. I did however bought a Dragon fruit and Mamey Sapote at a grocery store. I will try to grow the seeds. Bonus, my ginger started to sprout already! I'll be putting it on the ground soon. I've seen the ginger flowers and I think they look pretty.

  • Lemon grass are super easy to grow! just stick'em into the ground and they'll start to multiply~

  • @anniepoonanie Thanks for the info and thanks for watching! :)

  • The dragon fruit i had last time was the same thing, bearly any taste.. But the one i bought before that was actually pretty sweet. It must have something to do with the ripeness or time of year, the tase seem to change from different fruits. Never the less im guessing they will germinate easily like a kiwi as thew seeds are so similar. Good luck with the experiments, glad to see another dragon fruit experiment on here :)

  • @GardenNewbie I have tried growing kiwi many months ago and for the love of my green thumb, I couldn't seem to get it to germinate. I'm giving it another time. Thankfully they are cheap! Lol.

  • Easiest, most successful method I've found for sprouting dragonfruit seeds is to put them in a small ball of cotton, and keeping the cotton moist. When it sprouts, you just plant the entire cotton ball (I use half of one from the pharmacy section of the store). One word of warning though, they're slow to grow from seeds, so it'll take a couple of months to really get going after it sprouts.

  • nice im too grow all tropic fruits seeds inside my home :)

  • Hello! I'm a new viewer and I'm enjoying your gardening videos!

Although I am in northern California, I'm growing many similar plants - Dragon fruit, Lemon grass, Avocado, and more! Lemon grass is delicious in soups (like Pho), I agree. I grow mine in a container, then I prune it down to the soil-line and store the container in the garage for the winter.
