Roger Federer gives some tennis counseling on the side lines. What does Basalt and BLX mean? Who knows? But it feels good.

Actual false advertising would be things that are factually incorrect like say Chocolate says you'll be smarter if you eat it and it doesn't or if you have hidden fees or pretend like you're on sale. If this was false advertising why havent most companies been ripped apart yet?

No I'm not happy with what Wilson and all companies do but I'm not going to mindlessly accuse them of such large issues when endorsements is such a small problem

  • @asusundevils1971

Yes I know they get paid money to endorse their products. I was responding to how you said that Del Potro doesn't "give in" to false Advertising which gave off the impression that players got paid extra for showing off their new pj's

No it's not false advertising, they're using a celebrities likeliness to promote their product, this ad could simply be taken down to "I'm Federer, Ive used and I approve of this product"

  • @iforgotmyoldaccount I didn't think it was a hard concept on false advertising... It seems that you have no grasp on it and are happy with what Wilson is doing...

  • @iforgotmyoldaccount What do tennis players gain!!!! They get paid money to endorse the product. They play for alot of money and won't change their sticks just because a new model comes out. Wilson pays Federer to endorse the brand even though what he is endorsing isn't the actual raquet he uses. Nike was taken to court years ago because Tiger endorsed a ball that was for the general public and in reality he was using a different ball. Nike put out the same ball Tiger used after they were sued.

  • @asusundevils1971

With so many sponsors around, a fair amount of the general public actually knows and avoids endorsed products

Also what do the tennis players gain through paint jobs or "false advertising"? Wilson arent endorsing Federer because he paints his racquets, they sponsor Federer because he's Federer. I'm not going to pretend like you that I know why Del Potro switched back to his Ksix-one but I'm fairly confident his injury had something to do with it.

  • @iforgotmyoldaccount The general public don't know that Federer uses an old frame that is painted up like the new model. Wilson wants you to believe that he changed his sticks to the new model. You go purchase the new PS 90 thinking it is Fed's stick but in reality you are just getting a model he don't play with. Atleast Del Potro don't give into false advertising. He wouldn't paint his sticks to the new model just to make Wilson happy. Wilson even made him a new frame that he won't play with.

You say you're endorsed by Wilson yet complain about the only reason why companies have players endorsements. They provide you with free racquets/money and you're expected to help market their new models, it's selfish to just say that Wilson should be providing you with racquets and have you give nothing.

It's not false advertising either, that's how endorsements works. Federer could eat Cadbury and drink starbucks yet would still advertise Lindt and Jura.
