May I say that if you held your flute parralle to your mouth you would get a much stronger, warmer tone? You did very well nicley done

Hi,
I've also been learning irish flute for several months, and I wish I could play this way... I like your sound, and the things you let the music say.
You've become one of my web teachers, many thanks for your help.

Its a modern keyless flute copied from a late 19th C. 8 key English flute made by Boosey & Co. named Pratten's Perfected.
There aren't that many of made by Jon C. of Cochran Flutes but its a good one. Many modern flute makers make keyless flutes and use the Pratten's pattern so that is why this may look similar.

Yes and yes.
However much of Irish music is about playing together and sharing tunes just a most music is I believe.
Listen to as much Irish flute playing as possible learn to play those tunes. I'll answer any questions you have. Look for some local Irish musicians and just introduce yourself and listen.
