rays are everywhere right now,and had a baby bull shark swimming a few feet away from me earlier while I was fishing, had a perfect view of it through a wave. couldn't get a pic because I can't take my phone out in the water with me. I'm out on fort morgan rd.... Think I'm gonna go fish now.
I've lived in Florida all my life (especially the Gulf Coast from Pennsicola, Ft.Walton,Destin all the way to Ft. Meyers) but I've NEVER seen a shark that was bigger than a small dogfish.
I was even at a mangroove resort/nature area for a couple days and I missed several dawn/dust feeding frenzies when the tide went down.
Eh, knowing my luck I'll run into run at a bad time (like when I'm swimming and it thinks my limbs are bait fish -__-)
it was definitely a shark, but I couldn't tell from this video if it was a bullie or not. They are definitely abundant there due to the temp of the water and amount of Pompano pods that skid thru the surf. The larger game fish come thru right behind them for a meal, and bullies are certainly in that "large game fish" category. They should be classified more as "large predators". The pompano also attract small bill fish, now that's a sight from the beach.....nice video....
my friend was drunk in Panama city a few years back and there was a 7 ft bull shark in 3 ft of water, he thought it would be funny if he tried to drag the shark onto shore, to make a long story short..the shark was faster than he was and consumed him
:( i was so proud of just having footage of a stingray in the one week of staying at Gulf Shores, and you have a Bull Shark! .. sigh.. i wanted to see sharks!
