you picked that right, no one has put up any video on Remote Install,
Goto ur mac book bios, boot priority menu, an set your ethernet port to 1st priority, connect ur Desktob n laptop useing LAN cable, save settings in the bios and reboot your laptop as wel as Desktop. Now When all done, bring up the option of Remote install on ur Desktop, wher it says about ALT. Now reboot ur laptop while pressing ALT or Option key on ur Desktop.
Hope it WORKS, i was unable due to some problem in Ethernet

go to system preferences, sharing, tick DVD and Cd sharing. should shows DVD and CD sharing ON mode otherwise it might be block by firewall. To disable firewall go to security, firewall and disable from that. should work after that. good luck.
system preferences, startup disk, network boot,
Never tried it but it should work
Hope it helped
