Why the heated debate when the guy is clearly having a laugh. This is a bit of a 'trademark' song for him, the reason he can get away with it is because he is seriously talented. Plenty of other artists have done similar things; Bowie doing The Laughing Gnome, Genesis having the vid to Land of Confusion done by Spitting Image. These are serious artists being a bit lighthearted, that's all.
