@jeffmenter the crop is because its not 1920/1080 but 1440/1080 so the aspect ratio is different.

Does it use auto focus? like if you were recording a tv up close will it be blurry?

It's completely auto focus (no manual option whatsoever) but there is a "macro" setting that seems to make it prioritize close subjects.
