This is a good example of a waterspout becoming a "tornado". A waterspout, (which is simply a tornado over water), when it leaves the water and moves onto land as this one did...even if it is on land for only one second before withdrawing up into the clouds....officially becomes a "tornado". The national weather service (in the USA) now records the event as a "tornado" in their records.

@naderchaser Do you think this was a waterspout or actual tornado? I love the visual transition it took when it crossed onto land.

Great video! I really like the fact that you didn't shout and scream over the natural sounds of the event. So many tornado vids are ruined by guys shouting like idiots, anymore. I'm a hard-core storm chaser from the U.S., and you filmed what I think was a pretty potent small tornado. Well done!

When was it? We´re going to la mar menor, de manga in the end of februari. What weather do you think it will be then?
Thanks for the comments! The La Manga strip is just that; a thin strip of land separating the Mediterranean and the 'Mar Menor'. It's about 100m wide at this point. The waterspout came off the Mediterranean, became a tornado, passed over the strip and then turned back into a Waterspout as it hit the Mar Manor on the other side. Not sure whether it ever made it to the Spanish Mainland.
