I am a very big Fan of Michael Jackson, and am quite angry on the fact that We only started to pay attention to him only after his passing.

so here is my tribute to him in a Halloween spirit.
"let the fouls choke on their own gold!"
R.I.P. MJ.

Much thanks to Mike Watt for letting us put a brand new mindblow perspective on one of his old tunes.

Helen Money presents the Minutemen's 'Political Song for Michael Jackson to Sing" .
available on her album In Tune.

  • MInuteMen Rule as so did MJ.

in each their very own way, but none the less I think All Artist should really get the benefit the attention they deserve while they are here, and not only after.

  • Thanks for all the comments, I think it was really amazing for Mike to let us use his song, and I am a great fan...and the vid was not meant to overshadow the Minute men in anyway.

  • "and am quite angry on the fact that We only started to pay attention to him only after his passing."

Self-selecting indeed! That freak show played out on TV for years! If anything, death cleared our way to the music by getting rid of the one person blocking it from us. My, my, not everyone gets a happy ending.

  • Really awesome animation. Really awesome music. I can't get enough of this! Thank you for creating this.

  • yes Minute men were Great Indeed, Mike and Boon are true legends, but the most amazing thing about his film is the theme of artists not getting recognized while they are alive like Poe, Boon, Vangogh, and it's amazing that Mike and boon wrote this song ...

cause it's a message long overdue...

if we can only have a time machine and write a political song about Vangogh.

  • Nelson's take on this comes from a completely different place than the original I think, but that's what is interesting about it.

When I recorded it is was to show respect to Mike, D Boon and George. They were a huge influence on me in the 80's when MJ was king but alot of us listened to music that was under the radar.

  • Great version of a classic Minuteman song. Thanks Helen Money. Love the vid too. I second jt below. Minutemen rule!

  • Yeah! i like it. Thanks Mike Watt for sending the link to this. ...As Watt might say, Woah! Trippy!

  • oh and almost forgot..Minutemen Rule!!
