Banana Locking and Infinite

This is Diddy Kong's Banana infinite and Banana locking. This video is for demonstration purposes only, there are moments where the opponent could have escaped (mainly during the banana lock demonstration), but if performed perfectly (similar to Fox's shine infinite in Melee), then it is inescapable. Another good comparison is wobbling in Melee, to fast and the opponent can escape, to slow and they can escape, you have to find JUST the right timing, which takes practice.

Its based on a simple principle. When you are hit by a banana, you fall down (unDIable I believe) and have a moment where you can be hit again before you are able to roll. If hit by another banana in this window of time, then the process simply repeats.

Is it just me or does banana infinite slowly get faster?

The demonstration purpose was to show that you have to find the right timing. The fastest timing is the only one that works against a human. From what I can tell you need to be pressing A at roundly 1/5th second intervals (remember, its in sets of 2, once to catch, once to throw). I've also been messing with A catching and C-stick throwing to see if the results are any different.

It's just like the sandbags. As long as you keep them in midair, they never go away. That's one way to get a lot of stickers. Have a conveyor belt lead everythign to a little box, and have pit hold his A. This will cause all of the sandbags to constantly float upward, so they never disappear. Meanwhile, you can have metaknight pick up any stickers left behind.
