ikaw lamang - ogie alcasid

interpreting "ikaw lamang", the st john bosco parish chorale chose this as the entry song for the kasanib choral competition. indeed they showed how choral music is supposed to be sung. arranger/conductor is lester delgado. he is also composer of "misa delgado", set for relaunching at the edsa shrine on may 23, 2008 at 5:30pm. this vid is taken may 17, 2008 at the university of makati audi.

yeah, coz it's Harana sa Syudad nga naman, meaning modernized harana, or what pinoys of today would do to serenade their loved ones. if you are to make harana in the city, would you choose the traditional songs?

And so as their conductor, I personally chose IKAW LAMANG by Ogie Alcasid, a song that complies with the theme of the competition, "HARANA SA SIYUDAD"....

So if you will really think about it, we did the right thing or else the theme should be

"Harana sa Bario or Nayon"...
