You know... All I ask for is something different. This band rocks because it's different. But why did I have to trawl through so much rubbish before finding a band brave enough to be different? Just be urself. It's not hard when u think about it.

@Jalkotsu wha? I think you misinterpreted my comment. I'm actually a huge hip hop fan and completely appreciate the craft that goes into making beats. All I was trying to say is how can a song like this be so hip hop when it doesn't involve the things that make hip hop what it is - as you just said, producing, music engineering, etc? As in, if it sounds like something that would be sampled on a hip hop beat, then it really just sounds like what is being sampled. That's all I was getting at.

@devious222 you sound like the old hypocritical conservative parents of the 50's, calling rock n roll that "voodoo negro music" and such.
if you don't think producing, music engineering, and that whole technical manipulating side of things doesn't matter, maybe you should destroy every album you've ever listened to, because they've all had producers who've contributed greatly to music you listen to, albeit behind the scenes. while it would be pretty cool to listen to all music live...

@Jalkotsu I dunno man. To me hip hop isn't really a "thing" as much as a lot of things. Historically, hip hop is sampling and remixing existing music and then rapping over it. So more appropriately that part of the song is so fucking soul/funk/jazz/rock/etc.

there is something wrong with Deerhoof...that i like.

Anyone who says they just can't stand Satomi: Deerhoof would not be Deerhoof without her vocals and lyrics, so STFU and get over yourselves.
