Omid Djalili Speaks up about the Bahais in Iran

Omid Djalili appeals in support for the Bahai leaders in Iran , known as the "YARAN", who after two years in prison wihout a trial, have been given a total of 140 years prison sentence without proper legal representation or a proper public trial or evidence by the Islamic Republic's Judiciary.

Generally speaking Iranians, like other Middle Easterners love conspiracy theories :-) There is always an external power behind the happenings - good or bad! Its either a god, muhammad, an angle, CIA, mossad, imam mehdi, KGB, MI6 or whatever. Fatalism rules!

These evil middle-aged engineers, retirees, and teachers are obviously dangerous to everyone, except that, if they recanted their faith, they would immediately be cleared of all charges. They would be paraded on TV in Iran as newly-minted Muslims to show how they had seen the error of their evil ways. The spy charges keep changing throughout history: first the regime said they were Russian spies, then British, then Israeli, then American; I guess they are now Israeli and British spies again.

Well, your Revolution has been doing a fine job "wiping off" not only the rights and livelihoods of the Bahais, but in some cases even their lives.
