This demonstrates how the Bose L1 is both loud enough for dancing and quiet enough for talking at the same time. A single Bose L1, 80 to 100 people at a wedding reception, pumping dance music and look at where the Grandparents chose to dance!

  • thanks for the clip, is it possible to hookup a mixer to the one input, therefore allowing more microphones and other instruments? i play in a hawaiian reggae band, we're not that loud but we do play with a drum kit and bass amp, guitar amp. wondering if the Bose L1 would work with my live band. thanks for any info

  • @wtrix Yes, at least it is on the Model 1. On the Model 2 there's only one input as it's designed to go with the Bose T1 Tonematch mixer/sound device. I'd recommend going to the Bose L1 forums and having a read, then try renting one for a night or two. I've never regretted my Bose purchases.

  • Just as I thought, no highs... no lows.. no power.. it has to be a bose!

  • @Klem1956 My clients love the Bose, the venues love the Bose, my fellow wedding vendors love the Bose and I love the Bose. It's usually only other DJs who don't own Bose who hate it and they aren't my clientele, so their opinion doesn't matter one bit. I charge well above the market average, I spend almost nothing on advertising and I'm as busy as I'd ever want to be. I'd still not swap the Bose for any other system.

  • My L1 Classics have three 250w amps in each powerstand I believe.--- i 'believe' BOSE L1 to be a toy, not up to the real rigors of the road.

2 XLR inputs? Please! This is coffee shop gear.

I've always thought BOSE sounded half baked and after hearing the L1 system, nothings changed.

BOSE has ALWAYS been about putting out the cheapest stuff they can make and hyping it for the most money.

    One word: OVERPRICED

  • @generatrix999, You're entitled to your opinion, although I totally disagree. So much so that in spite of the fact that I already own a pair of Bose L1 Classics (Model 1), that I've just purchased a brand new L1 Compact also.

I'd still not swap my Bose for any other system on the market and I still have a feeling of pride every time I set it up. I've been a mobile DJ since 1987 and a wedding specialist DJ for about 10 years. For my work there's simply no solution better product on the market.

  • Hi, I'm a solo singer who sings at a few weddings but is looking to specialise in that area. I'm looking the for the very best quality sound to showcase rather that drown out my voice, and the L1 looks a good bet. My only reservation is whether or not it can fill a large room. Do you dind the L1 adequate for larger rooms or do you need to boost it with additional units? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alan

  • @Klem1956 You can't expect much through video recorders mic.

  • @Klem1956 - you are just so dumb to think that a video on youtube will give you real life results of the product.
