Right, he's using a cane because he falls 3+ stories at the end of The Dark Knight...despite that fact that Rises takes place 8 years after TDK...

@HeyDarelon Please think about it, when you get a serious injury that leaves you crippled the results of that can last a life time, which means that fall from the building would leave him with a debilitating limp which requires the use of the cane. Im saying he has most likely been using the cane since the fall.... get it now?

@theFLICKpick I highly doubt it based on the other clips we've seen in the trailer where he is clearly not using the cane i.e. the party scene.
