for a road trip, fix o flat, 1.5 ton jack(easier to use than factory jacks), portable jumpers, oil, radiator fluid, road side bag (flares vest first aid) and a glock 19 with critical defense rounds. you never know what you might run into.

God, your Elephant is so CLEAN! Mine is a bloody disaster, mostly due to my driveway being sand; the inside of the car it just a beach. Also, I still have all my tools from work in it from when I lost my job the other week - no place to put them in the house at the moment. Need to clean it out, though. This is making me want to clear it all out and get it detailed.

A lot of good points. 2 things I'd add, next time you have the car serviced where they change belts, keep the old ones. Put them in the spare tire well. If your out and bust a belt, you at least have something along to get you going. Can't tell but I'd add a hitch receiver if you don't have one. Great to pull you out if your stuck or to add a carry rack to since you lack a roof rack.
I try to put as much in and around my spare as possible. Tow strap, jumper cables, first aid...

I carry a pouch with 1, 5, 10 and 20 dollar bills. The pouch has nickels, dimes and quarters for just in case type of issues. I keep a Altoids survival kit in the car as well. In the back I have a poncho, limited amount of tools and a knife.

how about, light rail EDC. i don't own a car, but I ride a multi million dollar light rail.

@atzlanz great call I didn't even think to mention gloves a vest and a Mat
What about a fire extinguisher and a pair of fire/puncture proof gloves that cover your forearms. If your doing road side repairs or stranded you should get a reflective vest and possibly some sort of mat to kneel on or lay on depending on what your doing. Enjoy your trip!

@atzlanz Nice recommendations! I'll add these to my Version 2.0 Car EDC.

Some booze and a disco ball!
I really don't know, LOL. I second what 'formatC2' said. Oh, maybe a multitool (you could easily toss that into the glove box). Have fun with the fam, Cliff.
PS Seahawks suck!

@ATF6281914 The Makers Mark will be coming with me. I'll be sure to pack a disco ball too. May make for a great signaling device. :)
It's not easy being a Seahawks fan. It's a mentally and emotionally grueling process. For as long as I've been alive I've been disappointed by them year after year. Being a Steelers or Patriots fan is EASY. All I want is one Super Bowl victory. Then my life will be complete. I have season tickets this year, so maybe a Stadium EDC video should be in the works? :)
