@furrchomp thanks , ill look into those CCI's

@lsb3340 , If your getting jams try better ammo if you havent done that already. I know in the owners manual they have a list of reccomended ammo. The real cheap stuff will jam, like Remington thunderbolts. Also I want to say my buddy said his was picky with lead bullets. I have had good luck with CCI mini mags, Aguila ammo. I have actually been buy wal marts Federal Bulk box of like 500+ rounds for less than 20 bucks and they have been doing fine. Im just trying to help.

@furrchomp you might have gotten a lucky gun but ive herd it has to do with jams...

@bkr1972 What problems did you have? Just curious, Ive had mine sense April 2011 fired close to a 1000 rounds so far with no problems yet.

I'd get one of these but I think listening to it play that music all the time would get on my nerves. Is there a way to shut it off. How do you sleep at night? Lock it in a gun safe? Can you hear it through the gun safe?

Where can I purchase this gun, and how much do they usually cost? Thanks
I got my 15-22 back from Smith and ran about 300 rounds this weekend with no problems. I'm glad Smith repaired the riffle, the only issue I have is with the fact that Smith is aware of the problems with these riffles and is still allowing them to be sold. Im happy with my riffle, just not happy with Smith and Wesson.

@downrangeupwind or bkr I'm really thinking about buying one of these rifles, other then DUU is there any other serial numbers to look for. Also do the new models cost the same as the old? Thanks

@chewdogg316 I'm new to the 15-22 and am in the process of sending mine back to Smith. I'm not the person to answer you questions at this point, but Downrangeupwind was very helpful to me with my questions. As I see it now, if your going to buy a 15-22 then you should definitely be looking for serial numbers starting with DUU..
