  • Haha, there's no such thing as Eco-Friendly Plastic...

They advertise BPA-Free plastic as "environmentally friendly", but it's nonsense really...

The reason they do this is because of advertising regulations- they don't want to cause alarm by giving you the facts about BPA, Look into it... you'll be shocked and never want to buy anything with BPA in it ever again, you certainly don't want to eat off it!! especially if you're a guy.

  • Can u put it over a fire and cook in it

  • yeah the shame is that you can't cook with it, i have a kit which consists of a shallow saucepan/frying pan which has the lid which is used as a bowl, with a bowl with a hook to heat water in/bowl, it also has a metal cup inside and when folded creates about a 3 inch high bowl like thing with a lid on :) i love it

  • why would you waste your time looking?

  • This is different from Canadian kit.

Usually stainless steel or aluminum here(doubles as cooking gear & doesn't burn/break/melt).Can be set over or beside the fire to keep warm also. Most people I know just improvise this stuff.....cheap thin aluminum cookware bought at yard sales(an aluminum pie-plate can be used for both soup & the main course & can double as a fry-pan....that sort of thing.

Thanks for sharing this.Nice to see how it's done in other countries.

  • good kit.. but unfortunately you cant cook with it
