I used to watch this when I was 8 or 9, back in 96. Wow time flies! The song is still catchy.

I remember recording two episodes of Salty's lighthouse on VHS, and the format is Introduction=the characters make a mistake or is introduced to something, then they have to be taught about it by seeing via binoculars the tugs in action, then the ending shows the characters having been taught about that thing or about their mistakes, then finally a music video pops up with random old clips relating to that music video.
Two stories are in a episode, and each have that format.

I love this song but this show sucks because the get clips from the TUGS and redubbed them with bad voice actors!

Most of the voice actors have been in some good animes like Death Note. The plots however, were not consistent with the footage. But even TUGS did that, they used footage of Boomer in Lucky's Yard when they were at Dun Tuggin. The wikipedia page, at the time, was only partially true and was more "look what they did to TUGS!"

The voice actors were good, they got some good voices, like Scott McNeil, Brad Swaile, Ian James Corlett, etc. TUGS is supposed to take place in New York, and the designs are American, they did British voiceovers because the show was made in the UK and I guess it would be easier for little kids to understand phrases in a British dialect.

saltys lighthouse is retarded it just butchers an awsome show (TUGS) and give them dumb voice overs and the stories have serious continuinity problems
