  • Not once have these women expressed that being black is superior to all. What they are stating is that these specific physical attributes are mostly dominant in black women but it is something that is rarely given the same positivity as with women of other ethnicities. There is beauty in every ethnicity and there are certain attributes we sometimes wish we could have from another group of people.

  • I dont think the point of tanning is to be Black. I honestly dont think because people tan they're "admitting" that "Black is beautiful", they're just saying that being pale is not as cool as being in the middle. I dont think we should fool ourselves or try to elevate ourselves above people who tan because "they're trying to be like us". There is still negative stigmas and stereotypes attached to being dark and thats not going to disappear just bc other's are tanning.

  • Black is beautiful and we don't get old when we are in our 20s. They are not only taning but they are getting sugery to get lips, boobs and butt...

  • I don't think that white people tan took look like us. Other races can say that black people try to look white or some other race. What about black women who wear weave, blond hair, relaxers and even blue contacts? Is that trying to look like whites or other races?

  • White people wanting to be black, black people trying to be white its really confusing weird world we live in. Lightness is seen as more attractive i disagree any shade of any woman is pretty. I find darker women very attractive as well as light. There should be a show on mun2 called my brown is beautiful. Us Latinos come in different shades also because the Spaniards messed with the Native Indians of Latin America. So some Mexicans look light skinned.

  • @smileselam QUICK QUESTION. WHEN A BACK PERSON LIGHTENS THEIR SKIN OR BLEACHES THEIR SKIN ARE THEY TRYING TO BE WHITE???

  • smileselam i do tanning not to be black i want to have like latino

  • @chiefs816kc It is because they see the benefits os having a dark skin.. tanning was invented because 80 years ago a white man went to discover the strongnes of the black skin and the difference between white and black skin. and he found out that being darker mades youre skin more sunresistend. but black people have a lot of red bloodcells wich makes us able to resist more sun than anyone in the world. so i KNOW tanning is rooted because somebody White wanted to have skin like us

  • C'mon my Black folks. People don't tan because they want to be Black or because they are jealous of Blacks.

  • Whatever you say, we do not have to tan, so our colour is either way an advantage.

  • The reason people tan us because in the mid 20th century..it showed you had money by traveling ..if you had a nice tan, but no one tries to reach and black color

  • @smileselam I totally agree white ppl tan to be olive skinned, to look exotic, but few actually want to to be brown skinned.

I Totally agree with your comment ! I was just thinking this the other day !
