The problem with far-right religious loons is that they aim for political power and abortion is not their only target, they are also opposed to contraception, sex education, condoms for AIDS prevention.
What they want is to keep women barefoot and pregnant.

Anyone who protests outside an abortion clinic harassing women seeking an abortion are the lowest scum and don't deserve the right to protest.

Good on you Lyn, going out and speaking with these folk. Were there any insights or agreements on either side?
I wonder how they'd react to this type of passive and not so passive "free speech" if people targeted their homes or workplaces day in and day?
The hypocrisy and intolerance exhibited by most of these folk is what irks me most.

Hi, GREAT interview. Showing those plastic embryos on the protester's boards really displayed how they play on the emotions of vulnerable people. I once went to see a Dr in that clinic and one of the picketers hit me on the head with a placard screaming at me that I needed to see Dr Jesus. There needs to be that buffer zone to protect people from such abuse. Good on you for supporting women seeking help -and also for their rights to be protected at a very emotionally difficult time.
